TAX CREDITS & INCENTIVES
The Gateway Region offers a range of business incentives that are competitive with nearby states. Louisiana tax incentives vary from Ad Valorem Tax exemption for manufacturing to sales tax rebates and up to a $5,000 tax credit per
employee under Louisiana's Enterprise Zone program.
Additionally, there are employee training programs, a qualified and motivated work force, excellent regional higher education facilities and a close working relationship
between the public and private sectors. Further, local incentives may be provided based on the number of jobs created and the type of industry locating in the Gateway Region.
Louisiana's industrial training programs are
designed to build and continue to replenish a valuable, well-trained pool of workers for virtually any industry. Vo-tech pre-employment training, on-the-job training and incumbent worker training insure that companies relocating
or expanding their operation in the Gateway Region will have access to workers specifically trained in the skills needed by their employers.
There is a wide range of incentives available for those doing business in Northwest
Louisiana.
